Return, Exchange & Refund Policy – TraditionTales

At TraditionTales, every piece is handcrafted, quality-checked, and packed with care. Since we work with small-batch & handcrafted textiles, we follow a limited return/exchange policy.

No Returns / No Refunds For

  • Change of mind
  • Color/print differences due to screen settings
  • Minor irregularities in print/dye that are natural in handblock/handcrafted products

Note: These are part of the handmade process and are not considered defects.

Return / Exchange Allowed Only If

We accept return/exchange only when:

  • You received a damaged/defective product
  • You received the wrong product or wrong size

As a company policy we do not provide refund/return on any product once sold. All Exchanges are accepted with 7 days of after delivery.

Exchange/Return not accepted if Customer does not like the material, has ordered a wrong size or colour of the dress, we suggest that the customer should read the product description & have a look at all the pictures before ordering. You can also call us to know more details about the product if needed.

Our products are made and handled by human hands involving various processes. There is bound to be variations in colour, finish and overall look. The colours you see on our website will depend on the accuracy of your monitor for which subtle variations must be acknowledged.

10-15% Colour difference depends on the screen resolution of the device used by the client and camera lights, please don’t expect an exchange or return for the same.

Exchange/Return not accepted if the product is washed and worn.

What to do

Contact us within 24-48 hours of delivery and share:

  • Order ID
  • Clear photos/videos of the product and the outer packaging

Our team will review and confirm the next step.

If Approved

If it’s confirmed as defect/wrong shipment, we will provide one of the following (based on availability):

  • Replacement
  • Store credit
  • Refund (only if replacement is not possible)

Reverse pickup / return shipping will be arranged as applicable.

Conditions for Approval

To be eligible, the item must be:

  • Unused and unwashed
  • In original condition
  • With tags, labels, and packaging intact
  • Any free gifts received must also be returned (if applicable)

Important: If the item is used/washed/damaged, we may reject the return/exchange.

Handcrafted & Color Variations

Handblock printing and handcrafted dyes may have slight differences in:

  • Color tone
  • Print placement
  • Texture

This is normal and not treated as a defect.

Size Exchange (Only if you allow it)

For stitched/ready-to-wear items, size exchange requests must be raised within 24-48 hours.

Size exchanges depend on:

  • Size availability
  • Item being unused and in perfect condition
  • Additional shipping cost may apply

Custom or altered pieces may not be eligible (will be mentioned on the product page).

Refund Timeline (If Applicable)

For approved cases where replacement isn’t possible:

  • Refund can be issued to the original payment method or as store credit
  • Processing may take 7-10 business days after receiving and inspecting the return

Orders Lost in Transit

If the courier confirms the order is lost after investigation, we will:

  • Reship (if available)
  • Refund
